ANAHEIM CALLING

Q1) Ducks Breakout of the Year?

Lubomir Visnovsky. He's going to be running the show in terms of offense from the back end, and his line with the Ducks at the end of last year was five goals and eight assists in 16 games.

Q2) Darkhorse Breakout on the Ducks?

Beleskey Matt BeleskeyThere is a real chance he stays on that top line.  Bobby Ryan's game is just starting to move too far away from what Perry and Getzlaf are looking for in a linemate.  Beleskey has a nice heavy shot, and gets to the front of the net well.  Getzlaf and Perry did wonders for the stat line of guys like Todd Fedoruk and Dustin Penner; Beleskey would be no different.

Q3) Breakdown on the Ducks?

I'll say Saku Koivu.  If you're relying on Saku for 50 points, I don't know if he can deliver that from a third line, where Randy Carlyle may be determined to keep him.

Q4) League-Wide Breakout of the Year?

It's a gut feeling, but it tells me Nathan Horton.  I've always liked his game, and he just feels like a really dangerous weapon on that team.

Q5) Your First Five Fantasy Picks?

Ovechkin, Crosby, Thornton, Getzlaf, Miller

Q6) Value for Money Fantasy Goalie?

Obviously, it depends on your league, but I think you can always get Tuukka Rask a lot later than he should be drafted.  I worry about how strong the blueline in front of him will hold, but that's not always a bad thing with a good goaltender.

Q7) Taylor or Tyler?

Tyler.

Q8) Who is Going to win the Stanley Cup?

Getzlaf3I'm probably too superstitious to make that call.  Even if you don't think your team has a serious chance of winning the Cup, I think it's bad luck to predict they won't, especially if the team you predict knocks them out.

BONUS) Which happens first this year: Teemu Selanne gets injured, Bobby Ryan gets moved back to the top line or Ryan Getzlaf goes completely bald?

Ryan Getzlaf is ALREADY completely bald.  That's just a poorly constructed hairpiece.

Thanks to Arthur from Anaheim Calling for his help.  Some good picks in there.  If you enjoyed this BB make sure you check out his site.

When Leighton left Friday night's game after aggravating his back injury, I took solace in the fact that I had just drafted Mark Streit to anchor my d-men. Now he's likely gone for the year. I empathize with any who drafted Savard prior to this week. I know how you feel.

Yeah the Streit one is tough as he's been very reliable the past few years and he was likely an early pick for a lot of GMs
