Injury Updates - Oct 15th, 2010

For a consolidated list of injuries & current status, see our Injury Updates page.

You knew this was coming soon or later, things were just going too well for Pascal Leclaire (well other than losing his first three games of the year) as he left last night's game in the third minute with some sort of leg injury.  No word on the extent yet but with this guy you have to expect the worst.  Brian Elliott stepped in and was solid stopping 19 of 21 to pick up the Sens first victory of the year.  We've been saying all along that Elliott is the guy you want here.

Johan Franzen suffered a head injury, maybe a concussion, on a hit to the head by Mark Fistric... he said after the game that he was okay.  This guy misses a lot of games but let's not jump the gun and assume he's going to be out for a while, let's see how he's feeling over the next few days.

Matt Lombardi missed last night's game due to a UBI... he's listed as day-to-day and this may have been why his ice-time was so low the other night.

Toni Lydman has been cleared to play as he's recovered from the episode of double vision that he experienced.  The Ducks will likely try to get him back in the lineup quickly, maybe as soon as tonight.

Returning to action from the injured list last night:  Matt Stajan, Sergei Samsonov, Marek Zidlicky, Sergei Kostitsyn and Daniel Alfredsson.
