Injury Updates - Oct 5th, 2010

Marty Havlat sat out yesterday's exhibition game with a sore groin... his history of groin injuries is not at Gaborikian levels but it's still pretty extensive so this is a troubling sign that he's complaining already.  He's stayed pretty healthy the past two years (73 & 81 games) but the three years prior to that he played 35, 56 & 18 games so you know this guy is no Cal Ripken.

Guillaume Latendresse also sat out yesterday's friendly for M'sota with a hip flexor and is questionable for opening day... he's been dealing with this for over a week so hopefully it doesn't turn into anything more serious.

Mattias Ohlund has a knee injury and is listed as out indefinitely but he said he's hoping it's only two weeks... be afraid, he's had plenty of breakdowns in the past.

Here's your Daymond Langkow update:  Not good.  If you'd prefer more detail... apparently after he started skating in September he experienced some concussion like symptoms (related to his neck injury), so he's no longer skating and just resting... we don't expect to see him back for a long while.

Robbie Schremp is expected to miss 3-4 weeks with a back injury... more injury trouble for the Isles and bad timing for "Rob Schremp" as this guy can't buy a break.  Just when it looks like he's ready to put together his immense talent, shit like this happens.

Sergei Kostitsyn has a fractured foot and is doubtful for the Predators first game on Saturday... doesn't seem too major so he's probably just day-to-day.

Not an injury but heads up that Mike Cammalleri was suspended for one game for his hack job on el Nino so Cammy will miss the Habs opener on Thursday.
