Bobby Ryan hasn't really put together a headline grabbing streak or anything this year but with a hat-trick last night he has seven goals in his last eight games and check out this pace... 39+32=71, 114 PIMs & 324 shots.

Kevin Shattenkirk had his best game yet with 1+2=3 last night to give him 4+5=9 during a six game point streak.  Four of those points have come on the PP so he's effective there but he's doing it any way you like.

Two assists last night for Ryan Malone and he has 3+4=7, 9 PIMs &  27 shots over his last seven games and has been seeing a lot of time on the top PP unit.  Teddy Purcell has also been joining the big guns on the top PP unit and he has 3+5=8 over his last six games and five of those points have come on the PP... this guy has a lot of offensive potential so don't be thinking that this is just a fluke.

Oh boy... Corey Crawford stopped 21 of 22 last night for his third win in the Hawks last four games and he's only given up one goal in each game.  The Hawks are doing a nice job in front of him as he's faced an average of 27.6 shots/60mins this year and his numbers are fantastic (2.07 & .925).  This situation is heating up and will be getting an upgrade in our Crease Conflicts section shortly.

We haven't talked too much about Cam Fowler lately but he's still logging a lot of minutes for Anaheim and is putting together a solid rookie season.  With two assists last night, he now has eight assists in his last nine games but is also a minus-5 during that stretch.  He's on pace for 44 points but looks like he won't give you much other than assists & some PPPs.

Nice night for Shane Doan last night with three assists and eight shots on goal... he's been struggling, suspended or injured for most of this season so hopefully this will kick him into gear.

The Ducks Dan Sexton has points in three straight since returning from his broken nose but he's just keeping a spot on the 2nd line warm while Selanne is out.

The Avs Greg Mauldin had 1+2=3 in his 15 game NHL career before exploding last night for 2+2=4.  This guy's had a few 50 point seasons in the AHL but is not worth your time as I have a suspicion that games like this won't happen every night.

Sidney Crosby extended his point streak to 12 games yesterday with a hat-trick, including a PPG, SHG & GWG... and he missed on a penalty shot.  He has 12+13=25 during the 12 game streak and is on pace for career highs in goals (59) and points (131).

Remember when Mark Letestu came flying out of the gates this year?... well he's had 0+3=3 over his last 18 games.

Not really going to recommend him but Kyle Brodziak had two goals for the Wild last night and has been centering the 2nd line lately (between Havlat & Cullen), so those of you in deep leagues might want to keep an eye on him.  He also used his head to break Chris Stewart's hand in a fight, for whatever that's worth.

Is Alex Frolov a rotting piece of garbage or what?... 1+0=1 with only 13 shots over his last eight games and he's been pretty much useless all season.  I really thought he would bounce back this year, boy was I so wrong.

Red Wings prospect Tomas Tatar had 2+5=7 & a plus-7 last night in the AHL... nice night but don't get carried away as he came into last night with no points in his last six games and only nine points in 20 games for the season.  He's not even 20-years old though, so we'll cut him some slack.

The Leafs have loaned Mikhail Stefanovich to the KHL for the rest of the season.  He's not much of a prospect but I know a few GMs own him.
