Dion Phaneuf left last night's game due to a deep cut on the back of his leg. He was taken to hospital and while that just sounds like a precaution, not sure how serious this is. UPDATE: DP is out 4-6 weeks with a carved leg. Good thing the Leafs have Jeff Finger stashed away.
Ryan Miller is questionable for tonight's game with tightness is his lower half.
Drew Doughty has been cleared to play, so he'll likely be back in the lineup on Thursday.
Dr. Coach Bruce says that he thinks Semyon Varlamov is about 7-10 day away from returning.
The exploration into Zach Parise's injured knee turned up some bad news and he's out for three months. Not sure who on the Devils to recommend that might step up because of this as they've all been awful. Maybe this will help Kovalchuk as he's now the only go-to guy offensively.
As we speculated the other day, Kristian Huselius does have a high ankle sprain and he's out for five weeks.
This isn't much of an update on Peter Mueller but we haven't seen much on him lately so it will have to do... he's expected to play again this year and Adrian Dater thinks a return in December is a best case scenario... in other words, nobody has a effin' clue.
Returning to action from the injured list last night: Alex Burrows & Cam Barker.
