This is my very first fantasy sports league in general and fantasy hockey in particular.  I'm interested in the views of the old salts around here on some recent transactions I've made:

I'm in a Yahoo! 16 team head to head league.  After 4 weeks I've managed to be ranked 2nd out of 16.  My moves (follies?) after the jump:

1. Swapped Elias straight up against Spezza last week.

2. Dropped Weber & picked up Subban on waivers.  With Byfuglein and Letang on the blueline already, I'm dealing with a bench defender (unless I play Buff at RW).

3. Now the biggie - I just agreed to swap Kovalchuk and Ryan O'Reilly for Zajac and Gaborik.

So, am I doomed, or might there still be hope?  Fire at will!
