You choose the goalie

I have to make a choice to choose between two of the following three goalies.

Who looks to put up the best stats for the remainder of the year?

Halak

Lehtonen

Rask

Tough choice for me as they are all pretty good in my opinion. Rask could be a sleeper in the second half as he proved himself last year. Halak and Lehtonen have both been doing fairly well this season to this point.

What to do? Somebody has to go.

Thanks...

I’d take Halak & Rask… simply cause I don’t trust Lehtonen to stay healthy but he also hasn’t been anything special over the last month or so anyway. Rask is a risk but the numbers are great, so he just needs more starts (which is starting to happen) and things can change very quickly with goalies so you never know who’s going to be the #1 in Boston a month from now.

One big question. Will these be your only two goalies?

If so, I’d go with Lehtonen and Halak. If these are the only two you’re playing you need two guys that are starting now. Like Cam said Rask could win the job but I would rather stick with the two guys that currently hold it.

If no, then go with Halak and Rask. Rask is probably the best goalie of the bunch but PT is an issue. If you can stash him on the bench you’re laughing.

I also have Thomas so I’m pretty rich in this position. So it looks like Lehtonen goes then.

If you have Thomas you DEFINITELY need to hang onto Rask. If anything happens to Thomas and you don’t have Rask you would be in trouble. Rask is more valuable to you than anybody else in your league.

Lehtonen will probably end up pulling his groin reaching for his water bottle or something anyway.

Actually, Rask is a waiver wire pick up! Hard to believe someone actually dropped him.
Done.
Thanks again.

Rask has less value when you don’t own Thomas
In a shallow league, dropping him would not be crazy

But yeah, agree w/ what is said above. Keep Rask and Halak — and Thomas — and that’s plenty.
Cut Lehtonen for a skater and be even better. Again, w/o knowing your league, it is tough to say for sure, but can’t imagine you need 4 goalies.
