Trade Offer

I turned this down, but I had to think about it for quite awhile.  The league is a 12-team, single-season w/Yahoo standard scoring (G,A,+/-,PIM,PPP,SOG,W,GAA,SV%,SHO) and lineups are C,C,LW,LW,RW,RW,D,D,D,D,G,G with 4 bench and one IR.  My team:

Brad Richards - C

Patrick Sharp - C,LW

Daniel Sedin - LW

Alexandre Burrows - LW

Nikolay Zherdev - RW

Corey Perry - RW

Mike Green - D

Dan Boyle - D

John Carlson - D

Andrej Meszaros - D

Paul Stastny - C (bench)

Rene Bourque - RW (bench)

Ales Hemsky - RW (bench)

Chris Pronger - D (IR)

Dwayne Roloson - G

Corey Crawford - G

Michal Neuvirth - G (bench)

This team was part of a group of "special team" experiments my brother and I were doing with Yahoo standard leagues where we waited until the late rounds to pick particular positions.  For this one, I waited on goalies (and it shows); it is sitting at 5th, and might do very well when Green comes around, Pronger heals up, and if Roloson does well in TB.  Anyway, here's what I was offered:

I get:

Claude Giroux - RW

Milan Lucic - LW

I give up:

Daniel Sedin - LW

Nikolay Zherdev - RW

I turned it down on the premise that Sedin (perhaps unlike his brother) is the true 40-50 goal, 100-point talent on the Canucks, and that's just too difficult to find at LW in a 12-teamer.  Also, I have my doubts that Lucic will get more than ~55 points (he's still at 19% shooting, and has fallen off drastically the last 10 games), I think Zherdev can probably match Lucic's offensive production, and as you can see my team is pretty well set in the PIM department.  That being said, it's easy to pat myself on the back when I'm the only one looking at it, so I'd like to know what everyone else thinks.
