Love how we're getting rumours and speculation about when Sidney Crosby's next doctors appointments are.  Unconfirmed reports say that he didn't meet the doctor yesterday but could shortly and the hope is that he'll get cleared for contact shortly.  Please wake me up when he's ready to actually play in a game.

Evgeni Malkin couldn't play in the Pens home opener last night.  All the team is saying is that it's a LBI and "not long-term"... this coming from the team that said Crosby would just miss a week.

David Krejci was hurt in practice yesterday and is out for a bit, not sure how long as he'll be re-evaluated today.

Corey Crawford missed practice yesterday due to a groin injury but the team thinks he'll be able to play in their next game on Thursday.

Mattias Ohlund had surgery on both knees and is expected to be out for 4-6 weeks... he's not somebody that you should have been relying on to be healthy or productive anyway.
