Wednesday's Injury Updates - Markov, Gonchar, Brodeur...

PrintFirst the Habs said not to worry about Andrei Markov (knee) and that he'd be ready near the beginning of the season and now they're saying that he's out for at least another two weeks... with this guy it's best to worry first and ask questions later.
Jeff Carter is on IR due to his foot injury and he's expected to be out for 7-10 days.
Sergei Gonchar sat out last night's game with a bruised ankle... he's listed as day-to-day.
Martin Brodeur (shoulder) was hoping to return on Friday but the team says that ain't gonna happen.
Evander Kane (LBI) practiced yesterday and is expected to play tonight.
Marc Methot is out day-to-day with a LBI.
Rough start for the CBJs and now #3 goalie Curtis Sanford is out 2-4 weeks with a groin injury. Could this prompt a move to bring in a goalie as they could certainly use a spark and are running out of tenders?
Bobby Butler is on IR and probably out for a while with a groin injury.
Sean Bergenheim was a scratch last night cause he was sore... join the club.
Taylor Hall was ill last night and couldn't play.
Kris Letang sat out the first game of a two-game ban last night.
Ryan Kesler, Brendan Morrison and Ryan Whitney all made their season debuts last night and as far as we know none had setbacks.
Marian Hossa returned after missing a game with a UBI.

I haven’t heard any update on Dekanich… sometime in November is his expected return date.

I got an update through ESPN where I have him sitting on IR that he’s still at least 2-3 weeks away….
thanks, Andrew. 2-3 weeks—that’s not too bad.
i own him in a super deep dynasty league, so eager to see what he’s got.
after the trainwreck aka Steve Mason continues to flail and flounder, you have to think Dex will get a good, long look when he is ready to go
Although with the way CLB is playing even Dex might be a disaster.

Man that guy never seems to be healthy. And when or if he does come back, i hope the habs aqrent expecting him to be the same.
He’s pretty much off the fantasy radar now.
