Sunday's Daily Dosage - Quick, Perreault, Elliott...

Three shutouts... deal with it.

Sorry for the delay here, I had myself a late night and am currently day-to-day with a head injury... so I'm going to just hit on the major highlights...

Jonathan Quick is your on-fire-goalie of the week as he let none pass against Dallas last night and has a hat-trick of shutouts this week.  If I wasn't so hungover then I'd surely be more amazed by this.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins with 1+1=2 last night so I guess scratching him would have been a bad idea.

Mathieu Garon with a 21 save shutout of the Sabres and he is now 2-1-1 with a 1.51 & .948 in five games as he tries to wrassle the #1 job away from Roloson.

Mathieu Perreault with two goals in just 10 minutes of ice-time last night and he has 3+1=4 over his last two games but still isn't likely to see much of an increase in responsibilities unless he can grow a foot in the next day or so.

Brian Elliott stopped 34 of 36 to run his record to 3-0 on the season.  So expect the Blues to go with the hot goalie, Halak is not a lock here so Elliott could give him a run for his money.

Great breakdown by Dio of the David Booth trade... I agree that this helps Booth but I'm just not really a big fan.  Dude takes a lot of shots but I don't see a lot of pure finish.

Evander Kane with his first goal of the season last night but he saw less than 10 minutes of ice-time.

Alexander Burmistrov scored on the PP and extended his point streak to four games (2+3=5).

Mike Green with a nice effort with 2+2=4 (2 PPGs) yesterday.

Brayden Schenn played 19 minutes last night whereas Sean Couturier was only on for 10.

Milan Michalek is off to a great start with another two points last night and 6+4=10 in his first eight games... there are worse gigs than lining up with Jason Spezza.

Things were going relatively well for Steve Mason until the final 37 seconds last night where he gave up two goals and ran his winless streak to eight games.

Ryan Johansen with his first NHL point last night (assist) and they actually let him play as he saw 17:14 of ice-time (no PP time).

Breaking Out Alert: Tyler Seguin with another goal on five shots last night... he played 19 minutes and led the team with 2:55 of PP time.

Sami Salo with the OT winner last night to give him 3+2=5 in his last five games.  As Dio pointed out, his spot on the top PP unit is more secure with Samuelsson out of the picture... as long as he stays healthy.

The Sharks called up dman Justin Braun and he made his season debut last night with 14 minutes of ice-time.  Tommy Wingels exchanged roster spots with Braun and is headed to Worcester.

John Moore was called up by the CBJs but played less than 10 minutes last night.

Adam Henrique is up with the Devils again, taking Josefson's spot.

The Preds have sent Mattias Ekholm back to Sweden after Barry Trotz called him out for his "horrible" play the other night... I assume they tried to get him to play in the AHL and the kid refused.
