David Backes took quite a walloping from Chris Pronger and left the game with some combination of a shoulder and/or head injury.  The team said this morning that he was doing better but it sounds like he be re-evaluated over the next few days.  This would put a dent in a lot of fantasy teams (including a few of mine) if this stud was on the shelf for a while.

James Reimer left last night's game with what the team is calling "whiplash" suffered from a Gionta headshot... they said it wasn't that serious but it's worth keeping tabs on.

Henrik Lundqvist had to exit last night's game in the 3rd period due to foot pain caused by a problem with his skate... so it sounds like something that should be correctable.

Jose Theodore left last night's game due to cramps... so unless there is more to it I'd expect him to be fine.

Tyler Ennis left last night's game due to an ankle injury... he'll be re-evaluated today.

Guillaume Latendresse missed last night's game due to his lingering hip issue.  This will probably be bothering him for a while but hopefully he's able to play through it.

Tyler Bozak sat out last night's game with a foot injury but he was back at practice today so it doesn't seem too serious.

Scott Gomez is probably out a week with a UBI.

The Devils are expecting Jacob Josefson to be out 3-4 months with that broken clavicle.

Marc Methot is now out day-to-day with a thumb injury.

Sam Gagner (ankle) played 12 minutes in his season debut last night. 

Returning to action from the injured list last night was Ed Jovanovski & Clarke MacArthur.
