Tuesday's Injury Updates - Pronger, Pacioretty, Ennis...
Chris Pronger took a stick in the eye last night and left the game with what was a scary injury. The team said afterwards that he should be ok, but he'll need some time before they know for sure and he's out for a few weeks at least.
Max Pacioretty left last night's game with a UBI... he'll be re-evaluated today.
Word from the Sabres is that Tyler Ennis is week-to-week due to his sprained ankle... usually week-to-week doesn't mean one or two weeks, so he's probably out for a while.
Mike Green is day-to-day with a twisted ankle... the Caps have a little break this week so he may not miss any games.
The Sens say that Daniel Alfredsson is out for tonight's game due to a hip injury but that he should be able to play on Thursday.
New Panther Mikael Samuelsson is likely still out another week due to his groin injury.
Dany Heatley is dealing with a groin injury but he's been playing through it and will likely continue to do so.
Evgeni Malkin (knee) is questionable for tonight's game.
David Backes (head injury) practiced yesterday and says he's going to play on Wednesday... wow.
Rick DiPietro (concussion) practiced again yesterday and should return shortly... if they have room for him.
Mike Fisher (shoulder surgery) has been cleared to return to action for the Preds.
Tim Connolly (UBI) is taking contact in practice and so he's getting closer to a return.
Mike Santorelli (season debut), Jaroslav Spacek & Wojtek Wolski all returned to action from the injured list last night.

I’m hearing a broken wrist for MaxPac. I had just picked him up to replace Samuelsson, too. Oh well.

Pronger
Pronger just got dropped in my league, probably because his owner is already almost in last place and can’t afford to hold onto him (we don’t have any IR slots, thanks to Yahoo). I’ve been doing just fine with three defensemen (because of Wisniewski’s suspension), so I’m going to grab Pronger and stash him. Here’s to a quick recovery!

So what happens if Salo, Connolly and DiPietro are all healthy at the same time? End of the world?

Pretty close… at least we can count on Markov, Hemsky & Mueller to be injured.

If they all conspire to be healthy at once, the world will turn to the one person who can save us...
