Corey Potter with another assist last night and he now has 1+4=5 over his last five games. Six of his seven points on the season have come on the PP. He's had some OK seasons in the AHL but nothing that would indicate that he can put up points in the NHL so I wouldn't expect this to last... sorry CP44 fans.
Erik Karlsson with 5A & 20 shots in his last five games to move into the lead in scoring amongst dmen (and 2nd in shots). After finishing 26th in the league in goals last year, the Sens are 5th so far this year and have the league's best PP (31.0%)
Last night was game #9 for Ryan Johansen and he scored the GWG. He now has 2+2=4 in his last five games while seeing limited minutes and virtually no PP time.
Nikolai Khabibulin won his fourth straight last night and ran his record on the season to 5-0-2 with 1.12 & .960 averages. If I had to bet, I'd bet he can't keep this up... just a hunch.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins with two assists and he has 1+5=6 over his last five games.
Another big game from Ryan Smyth with two goals last night and he has 3+2=5 over his last two games... he seems to have new life being back in Edmonton.
Kyle Quincey with two assists last night and he has 2+6=8 in his last seven games. He's getting his shot off a lot more this season with 31 sogs in 11 games so far, so that's a promising sign.
Just one assist and 10 shots in nine games for Dustin Penner... combined with last season he is just 2+5=7 in 28 games with LA. I'd say he's very droppable.
Cam Fowler with a slow start to the season with just 2A in 11 games so far but he's logging big minutes & PP1 time so I wouldn't be too worried about him... bench him for a bit, if you have the option.
2A last night for James Wisniewski and he has points in three straight (4A) while playing 27+ minutes in each of his four games so far.
Robin Lehner was filling in for the injured Alex Auld and he pulled out a victory over the Leafs by stopping 23 of 25. This guy looks like he's going to be a good one but the Sens are happy to have him playing in the AHL this year.
Nikita Filatov was recalled by the Sens but only saw five minutes of ice-time last night.
