Due to some flexibility provided by one of my other rostered players going on IR I added Kulikov about a week ago. Now with that rostered palyer coming off IR I am faced with the decision of keeping him or not. I am in a dynasty league and the stat cats are G,A, +/-, PIM, PPP, GWG. I think I am fairly set at D with the following on roster;
Doughty, Suter, Wideman, Souray, Giordano & Kulikov. (I also have the rights to Ryan Murphy whenever he plays 10 games)
I don;t see the point in carrying six d men moving forward, so one has to go. Obviously Doughty and Suter are staying. With Wideman's situation and age I can;t see dropping him at this point either, leaving me with the choice of cutting one of the other three. I am suspecting that the advice offered will be to drop Souray, given his age, but he has been an absoulte stud thus far in my format, ranking 12th overall. I grabbed Kulikov largely off this sites advice, as you guys have really pumped his tires so far and I grabbed the last guy you did that to (Couture) and it worked out pretty well for me. That leaves me thinking that Giordano should be the guy to be cut. I can start Doughty, Suter, Souray, and Wideman and then spot start Kulikov if/when Souray or the others get hurt. I can also then move to drop Souray next year when Murphy likely makes the Cane's and Kulikov should be ready for an every day start role.
