Sunday's Injury Updates - Malkin, Erat, Mueller...
The Penguins shut Evgeni Malkin down in the 3rd period last night but the coach said he was fine and the word used after the game was just "soreness" and not "injury"... so hopefully he'll be ok to play tonight.
Martin Erat is pretty prone to the nagging injuries and so not surprising that he missed game two of the season last night with a UBI... the team says that it's not related to the back injury that kept him out for a bunch of last season.
Peter Mueller played in his first real game in over 18 months and saw 15 minutes of ice-time. I'd expect it will take him a while to get back up to full speed and beware of a relapse.
Wojtek Wolski sat out yesterday's game due to groin injury... he's listed as day-to-day.
Dave Bolland returned last night after missing Friday night's game due to a mysterious UBI but everything seemed to be fully operational as he had two goals on five shots.
Reports say that Chris Campoli will be out for a few months due to the groin injury he suffered on opening night.
Michal Rozsival left last night's game after blocking a shot with his face... he'll be re-evaluated today but I can't imagine it's a pretty sight.
Tomas Holmstrom was not in the Wings lineup last night, he's been bothered by a bad knee lately and they likely wanted to give him some rest.
