Tuesday's Daily Dosage - Byfuglien, Pacioretty, Super Series...

Cmon Cap'n, if you're not going to do anything then just get out of the way

Dustin Byfuglien has been getting busy lately even without his buddy Enstrom around as he had 1+1=2, plus-1, seven shots, two hits & two blks last night and has 2+5=7, 20 PIMs & 23 shots over his last six glorious games.

Max Pacioretty with 1+1=2 last night and he has 4+1=5 & 21 shots over his last five games.  He had a PPA last night but only two of his points have come on the PP so there is still more room for growth here.

A pair of apples and plus-2 last night for Jakub Voracek and he has 1+6=7 & plus-4 during a four game point streak.  He hasn't landed a regular spot on one of the top lines and isn't seeing big minutes but on a team with this much depth he could still put up useful numbers.

Game #4 of the Super Series last night and the OHL took it to the Russians again in a 6-3 win... the danger men on the night were Greg McKegg and Ryan Spooner who both had 1+2=3.  For Spooner this was back-to-back games with three points so he's making a case for a roster spot on the WJC team.  The series shifts to the WHL now with game #5 taking place in Regina on Wednesday.

Star-divide

P.K. Subban has three points in his last four games after just three in his first 13, so he's starting to come around and I think this guy is still going to have a big season.

No points in his last six games but Yannick Weber played a season high 25:35 including 6:13 on the PP last night.

Dwayne Roloson was pulled last night after giving up four goals on 22 shots... man he's volatile this year as that is the sixth time in just 11 games that he's given up 4+ goals.

I'm not a fan but I'll mention that Erik Cole scored last night and has 4+3=7 & 44 shots in his last 10 games... the shots are especially noteworthy.

Jhonas Enroth stopped 25 of 27 and extended his undefeated record to 6-0-0.  Even with Miller out, I'm still not seeing this as a long-term thing but those of you that are on board are getting a nice return so far.

Derek Roy stayed hot with another pair of points and has 5+5=10 over his last six games.

Cam Ward was pulled last night after allowing four goals on 17 shots and is now 1-5-0, 4.95 & .866 over his last six games.

Active night for Tuomo Ruutu with a goal, plus-1, four PIMs, two shots and four hits... he has four goals over his last five games.

Patrick Dwyer with his first two goals of the year last night and they were both shorthanded... well isn't that special.

Matt Read with a goal & a helper last night and that's goals in two straight games but just 3+1=4 over his last nine, so don't get carried away.

Tyler Myers was a healthy scratch last night... wowzers, Lindy means business.  Myers hasn't been going so hot this year and has just two assists and a minus-6 over his last 10 games.

The Ducks claimed Niklas Hagman on waivers from the Flames.  He can be a mildly effective player at times but I wouldn't count on much from him over the long haul.  Maybe a new team and possibly lining up with two fellow Finns in Koivu & Selanne will fire him up?  In order to make room for him the Ducks sent Peter Holland back to the AHL.

Andrei Loktionov & Slava Voynov were called up by the Kings to fill in for Dustin Penner and Alec Martinez.

Grabovski

What’s the feeling on a guy like Grabo? Is he worth keeping around or is he going to fall flat this year?

We have 4 def. spots in my league and I have a good corps (Doughty, Seabrook, Letang, Robidas) but Tyler Myers was just dropped.

Would it be advisable to drop Grabovski in favor of Myers?

Given your defense and Myers struggles, I don’t think you need to add him. Stick with Grabo, he’ll go through slumps he role is secure and he should give you 50+ points.
