Hey guys. I'm in a points-only very deep keeper league with a salary cap. I'm tearing it up right now.
I just traded Anisimov (and a low pick in our 2012 draft) for Flood (and a better pick). I'm in win-now mode, and the guy I made the deal with is not. I needed a bit of help (and salary flexibility) on the blueline. Anisimov is young and has potential, but I have better young guys with potential already. Early days I know, but I wasn't thinking of Anisimov as a keeper. Yay or nay?
What I'm even more interested in though, is your takes on a few guys I have, and whether it's the time to sell on them. (As a point of reference, some of the guys I have on the bench right now who might replace these guys if I traded any of them are: Kunitz, Cole, Brodziak and Hamonic - I told you I was thin on D.)
Milan Michalek
3 goals in his last four games, and sitting near the top of the league in goals. Keep him or no? What would be a reasonable return on him? Looking for a guy who would be an upgrade for this season - not necessarily thinking about the future so much.
Corey Perry
4 points in his last 6, but he's not looking like he's going to be close to PPG this season. See if I can get a sniff on him based on last season, or ride this out?
Andrej Meszaros
I might have trouble getting rid of him at this point. Is he even worth hanging onto when I go for my adds and drops later this week? Kinda feeling like I might drop Erik Cole, too. These guys are both just too pricy for their worth in my pool, I think.
Thanks a lot guys!
