Couture and Ekman-Larsson
I'm in a points only dynasty league, where defensemen get points based on ice time (works out to about 25 points or so over the course of a year for a 20min/g d-man), levelling their value with forwards. I've been offered some form of a swap where I give Logan Couture and get back OEL. Assuming OEL gets an automatic 25 point bump (possibly more) to his point totals, how would you rate that trade?
Note that my defense is currently terrible (nothing useful outside of Ehrhoff and Leddy), and I have on okay stable of forwards (Brassard's and Berglund's horrid season notwithstanding).

Even with it being a dynasty league and the D bump, I can’t see making that trade. Couture has already put forth a season that indicated stardom is coming. OEL’s future as a star is still in question.

A dynasty league is a version of a keeper league where you can typically keep your entire roster and there is no limit on how long you can keep them.
Whereas a regular keeper league typically lets you keep a certain number of players and there are limits on how long you can keep players.

I concur
OEL could very well be a stud, but he also might be a dud. Couture is a present and future stud.

I heart Couture and am not that high on OEL so even if this was a fair swap (which I’m not sure that it is)… I’d have to say that I don’t like it.
