Saturday's Daily Dosage - Enroth, Byron, Giguere...

Jhonas Enroth followed up being pulled on Wednesday with a 34 save shutout of Carolina last night, moving his record to 7-1-0.  The kid is on a real roll and we're hearing very little about Miller's recovery, so start 'em if you got 'em.

Curtis Glencross with 2+1=3 last night and he has 4+5=9 over his last 10 games but he hasn't been able to put together any streaks, so his production has been pretty randomized so far.

The Flames Paul Byron had his second goal of the season last night.  He's played in just four games and taken three shots, so he's high-efficiency right now.  I'm not as sold on this guy as others are, let's give him a few more years before we start raising expectations.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere with a 24 save shutout of Dallas last night and he's actually been very solid with a 1.68 gaa & .934 sv% this year.  He has yet to allow more than three goals in any of his seven games so far.  He's started B2B games and three of the last five so something might be brewin' here.

Nick Leddy with another assist in 23 minutes of action last night and he now has 6A over his last five games.  At this point though he's really just an assist-man, he won't give you much in any other cats.

Star-divide

Corey Crawford gave up five goals on 26 shots last night in the loss and he's fighting it with a 3-3-0 record and 3.50 & .876 sv% over his last six games.  We haven't seen a lot of Ray Emery this year (just four starts) but he's expected to start tonight.

Marian Hossa extended his point streak to five games (2+7=9) with a goal last night.  The Hawks are up to 2nd in the league is goals scored and each of the top two lines are really clicking.

Viktor Stalberg with a goal last night and he has 2+3=5 & plus-5 during a five game point streak.  He's seeing a regular shift on the top line but doesn't see any PP time.

How long does Mikael Backlund's audition as the Flames #1C last before it's aborted?  He has nada & minus-5 through his first four games and Jarome Iginla has just one goal and a minus-7 over his last five.

I thought Goligoski's injury was going to provide an opportunity for Sheldon Souray & Stephane Robidas... yeah, not so much.  Robidas has nothing in five straight and Souray is pointless & minus-3 over his last four.

I'm on Luke Adam scratch watch currently... he played just eight minutes (no PP time) last night on L4.  Just like pretty much every player on one of my teams, he's in a slump with just two points in his last eight games.

Jaroslav Halak, Curtis Sanford & Rick DiPietro are you notable confirmed starters (per FH911) for tonight.

Up from the AHL is Michal Repik.  Casey Wellman is either up or down, he's been back & forth so many times lately that I can't keep it straight.

Undrafted 19-year-old Tanner Pearson with 3+3=6 last night for the Barrie Colts and this kid is leading the OHL in scoring right now with 18+30=48 in 21 games.  So a late bloomer to keep your eye on.
