Wednesday's Daily Dosage - Bozak, M.Richards, Turris...
The Leafs now have 16 goals over their last three games after another lucky seven last night and they're starting to get contributions from guys not named Kessel & Lupul. The guy playing with those two, Tyler Bozak, is starting to benefit as he had three points last night and now has 4+5=9 over his last seven games. The guy whose job Bozak stole, Tim Connolly, ain't too fussed as he fills in for Grabo on L2 and has 2+4=6 during a three game point streak.
Jaroslav Halak with his third straight start last night but he took the loss by giving up three goals on 28 shots. He's been solid since The Cock (stealing this from SLGT) took over but the loss has to mean Brian Elliott gets a chance, doesn't it?
Mike Richards with two points last night and he's on a roll with 7+1=8 & plus-6 over his last seven games. Dude also won 15 of 16 draws, for those of you that play that game.
Kyle Turris has signed with PHX but he's still hoping for a trade so we'll see how the team handles him. He should be a fine replacement for Boyd Gordon (filling in for Daymond Langkow) on the Coyotes top line but you never know with Dave Tippett, he'll probable give him 12 mpg on the 3rd line and scratch him every few weeks. Turris had some promising numbers last year in limited minutes... so pray for a trade!
Jordan Eberle with 2+1=3, plus-2 & four shots last night and he's been getting loose with 4+6=10 over his last five games.
Joe Colborne with his first NHL goal last night and he has two points in three game since his call-up but hasn't seen more than 12 minutes in any of them... so he's likely headed back to the AHL when Grabovski is healthy.
Jonas Gustavsson stopped 27 of 28 for his second straight one-out but he's been inconsistent throughout his NHL career so it's kinda hard to really count on him to not implode next game.
Still with the Leafs... Jake Gardiner with a nice line last night: 2A, plus-4 & eight PIMs.
I really liked the look of Teddy Purcell on a line with Steven Stamkos to start the year but Teddy has no points and just three shots over his last six games.
Dwayne Roloson was chased last night after giving up six goals on 21 shots and he's rockin' the 4.64 gaa & .851 sv% over his last four games. Get this guy an adult diaper as he's been really leaky, with 4+ goals in eight of his 14 appearances so far. But just when you think this guy is finished he storms back so I'm not writing him off yet.
Remember that seven game stretch where Patric Hornqvist couldn't help but score???.... well that's been followed up with nothing over his last five. Streaky comes, streaky goes.
Shawn Horcoff has been drawing the plum assignment of lining up with the kids on the Oilers top PP unit and he has 4+2=6 (four PPPs) over his last five games.
It was Devan Dubnyk in net for the Oil last night and he stopped 30 of 32 for his first win since October. With Khabibulin looking drunk shaky lately, let's see if Dubie can string together some starts.
I grabbed Jeff Petry in a keeper league after his 3A & plus-5 on Saturday and he came through with a PPG last night. He's bound to see solid minutes & PP time with Whitney, Barker & Potter all out.
The Preds put Niclas Bergfors on waivers as they haven't found much use for him this year... I'm not a huge fan but depending on where he ends up (other than the AHL), he could be useful in a deep league.

Am I justified in thinking that
it is time to say “Piss off Krejci” and just play the hot hands for the rest of the year? The only thing he is contributing to my team is a middling amount of FOW which I have a lot of already (Stastny, Kesler, J. Staal, Horcoff, .Dubinsky and Jussi Jokinen at the LW bring some as well for some nice bonus FOW)
Guys like Bozak, Henrique, Smith, Read, Steen, Voracek are all available on the wire

Seems like a relatively shallow league, so if you won’t miss the FOWs then you’re probably right to move on and grab the hot hand.

Nice crop-work again – you weren’t kidding about this week. Now could you please superimpose Crosby’s head on top of the Leafs’ legs photo? I’d like to see a four-legged Crosby. I think we all would.
It was no joke… next week is Randomly Cropped Photo Week (now I’m joking… maybe).

I know, it’s hilarious… until someone breaks an ankle.
