Tuesday's Injury Updates - Crosby, Connolly, J.Carter...
I believe the Penguins when they say that there is no set return date for Sidney Crosby, so everyone will just have to wait to see what happens here. Friday is a possibility but they probably won't give people a heads-up too far in advance to avoid a mediastorm.
Tim Connolly has another UBI, totally unrelated to his previous UBI which had nothing to do with the recurring UBI he had a few years ago. Any way you spin it, this guy is as soft as they come and can't be trusted to stay healthy. They say that he's expected to be out for 10-14 days.
Wojtek Wolski will have hernia surgery today and that is expected to shelf him for four weeks.
Some good news for the CBJs... Jeff Carter (foot) practiced yesterday and might be able to return on Thursday... my lord, do they need a lift or what?
Ilya Kovalchuk (leg) missed practice yesterday and so he's unlikely to play tonight.
A minor undisclosed injury kept Rich Peverley out of last night's game... he's day-to-day.
Cam Barker is getting close to returning from his shoulder injury, he should return tonight or shortly thereafter.
Daniel Alfredsson (concussion) has been skating on his own the past few days and is reporting that he is symptom free so he could be returning soon.
Panthers prospect Jonathan Huberdeau suffered a broken foot yesterday in practice and is likely out for about a month... hopefully he gets himself healthy and ready to go for the WJCs.

Connolly
I don’t mind owning Connolly or that he got injured (again). Unlike most teams, the Leafs have no delusions on how long he’ll be out and he was immediatly available for IR. Nothin worse than a team not putting a player on the IR and he just clogs up your roster.
Tyler Ennis
Ennis got an update over at Yahoo, sounds like he’s still gonna be out another week or so. Is he even worth hanging onto still? I’m in a 12 team keeper where I doubt I’ll be able to hold him (it’s based on cap hits and I’ll be pretty close to our cap before I even think about him) and really need some production. He did nothing before he sprained his ankle, anyone still think he can have a quality year?
I think he can still have a very good year but it’s a risk due to Buffalo’s depth and if you’re not planning on keeping him then I’d drop him and add a hot hand.

Lupul for Roy
Hey guys,
I was just offered a trade… I would receive Lupul for Derek Roy…
Thoughts? It’s head-to-head….G, A, P, PPP, +/-, shots, hits
Thanks!
I’d expect Roy to have better numbers but if you’d rather have a winger then the difference might not be enough. So If that’s the case, then go for it and pray that Lupul stays healthy.

My gut tells me Roy but Lupul’s hot start has my brain trying to talk me out of it.
Like Cam said the winger eligibility might push things in Lupul’s favour.
Also, since you’re a Leaf fan I’m guessing you’d enjoy having Lupul more.

thanks for the input guys…I decided not to take it…Roy is finally seeing unit #1 pp time, and even though I am a leafs fan…I personally think that they are playing over their heads…and lupul will probably join connolly on the sidelines in the near future
Three points for DRoy tonight… good call so far.
