Wednesday's Injury Updates - Bouchard, Michalek, Leino...

Pierre-Marc Bouchard has a busted beak after Bogosian tried to make him kiss the boards but his head seems ok today, so he'll be a game time decision tonight.

The Flyers & Hurricanes both admitted that Claude Giroux & Jeff Skinner have concussions. Oh, and Joni Pitkanen's UBI is a concussion as well. All of them are out indefinitely.

Milan Michalek is also out indefinitely after suffering a concussion last night.

Good news, Ville Leino doesn't have a concussion but is out for weeks with a LBI... well it does makes your decision to bench/drop him a little easier.

Alexander Burmistrov missed last night's game with an undisclosed injury... he's day-to-day.

Nik Antropov also didn't play last night due to a sore foot... he's been pretty unreliable lately.

Matt Cullen and Rene Bourque both missed last night's game with sickness-type symptoms.

Returning to action from the injured list last night: Jordan Staal, Guillaume Latendresse, Ilya Bryzgalov, Chris Campoli, Cal Clutterbuck, Eric Fehr, Paul Stastny & Cody Hodgson.

I would say the jury is still out on Butch's head

Following the cloak and dagger script of releasing concussion information, I expect PMB to be scratched for a week or so with “UBI,” then have the flu for a bit and sometime after Christmas/New Years the team will announce another concussion….

{sigh}

Being from Minnesota, it would be rude to put something clever here.

Like all of life’s problems the answer to the concussion problem can be found in the movie spaceballs:

Not seen a Jet game yet

so any thoughts on Fehr, yes very deep league, any upside to his game.

not enough to justify the headaches that he’ll give you when he gets hurt weekly.
