Saturday's Injury Updates - Zajac, Sedin, Chara...
Travis Zajac made his season debut last night after off-season achilles tendon surgery. He had three shots in 15 minutes of action on the 3rd line but the Devils were just easing him back in and he should see his responsibilities increase over the next few weeks. He's a decent option when he's healthy and centering the top line but don't overrate him.
Just what the Penguins need... Paul Martin left last night's game with a suspected leg injury. Not sure on the extent.
Jordan Staal was a game-time decision last night and couldn't play due to his LBI... he's missed two of the last three games but is still just day-to-day.
Daniel Sedin didn't practice yesterday due to his sore back and is questionable for tonight's game.
Well that was fast... Zdeno Chara (leg) should be in the lineup today having skipped a few weeks of expected rehab.
They say it's just a precaution that Pierre-Marc Bouchard will miss his second straight game due to his broken nose.
Nino Niederreiter (concussion) is feeling better and is ready to return to the lineup whenever the Islanders see fit.
Mikko Koivu (leg) is definitely out Saturday but the Wild hope to have him back shortly.
Philip Larsen left last night's game due to a LBI.
Josh Harding (neck) has been activated from the IR and will dress tonight.
