Saturday's Injury Updates - Malkin, Briere, Souray...

Stay connected for news and updates

Bells were jingling for Evgeni Malkin last night but he wasn't on no sleigh ride... he took a knee to the head and was a little woozy but stayed in the game.

Danny Briere missed last night's game and is day-to-day with a bruised hand.

Martin Hanzal was slapped in the face with a hockey stick last night and had to leave the game... that'll leave a mark.

Sheldon Souray got an early start on his holidays as he left last night's game early with an ankle injury... that or he had to get to the mall before it closed???

The Leafs sat John-Michael Liles last night due to a sore neck but he's expected to return for the Leafs next game.

Rich Peverley was given the night off to heal up an undisclosed injury that has been nagging him for a while.

Peter Regin is contemplating having surgery on his bum shoulder which could shelf him for the rest of the season.

Antero Niittymaki is healthy again after off-season hip surgery and he has rejoined the Sharks... not sure what this means for Thomas Greiss or if Niittymaki might get moved.
