Tuesday's Injury Updates - Weber, Oshie, Lehtonen, Michalek...
Shea Weber missed last night's action with a UBI. This injury came up at practice but we can't find any more info as of now. Doesn't sound too serious though.
T.J. Oshie didn't play last night due to a wrist injury. He won't play tonight either but should be back for Friday.
Kari Lehtonen update! He's expected back sometime this week. Coach Gulutzan said that he wouldn't be surprised to see him on Thursday.
Milan Michalek is also expected back this week. We might get to see him on Thursday as well.
Marc Staal has been cleared for contact in practice. This is a big step and hopefully Staal responses well to the contact. Sounds like he's still got a long road ahead of him.
I'm seeing some conflicting reports on Kyle Quincey. Some say he's out with a groin injury others are saying he's a healthy scratch.
Mathieu Perreault was taken to the hospital after suffering a UBI against the Sabres. His stick got caught in the boards and jammed into his midsection but he did finish the game. No word if Shanny is going to be meeting up with the crack in the boards that caused the injury. He's on pace for just 18 points so you shouldn't be too stressed out right now.
Jared Spurgeon left after a Cody McLeod hit. He was on the ice for five minutes and then missed the rest of the game. More info as we get it.
Devante Smith-Pelly broke his left foot for Canada last night and he'll miss the rest of the WJC. A big tourney might have translated to a bigger role with Anaheim. He's expected to be out 4-6 weeks.
Returning to action: Mikko Koivu, Keith Ballard, Jochen Hecht and Brad Boyes.

I thought perhaps
a deal for Weber or Suter had been struck when I saw Ellis called up…. was wondering who the lucky (Detroit) team was.
UBI’s are just not as exciting :-(
Quincy is disturbing as he is one of my few PIM’s generators but the healthy scratch theory wouldn’t surprise me because he hasn’t done much 0+3=3 plus-3 and 0 PPP for a month.

He’s still playing at a 40 point pace though… which is surprising.

But Trotz now says he might play on Friday.

Looks like you just went through the range of emotions. I’ll believe he’s fine when I see him on the ice.
