So I was doing some research in my pool and comparing the first place team to my team and doing a breakdown. I am behind him by 120 points and have not been able to make any ground on him. The closest I got was around the 80-90 points mark.
The point structure is more geared towards goal scoring as the pool set up is 3P for a G, 2P for A, 1 for SH and .2 for PM. There is not many peripherals in this pool. The goalies are set up 4P for a W and 3P for a SO.
The pool is set up with 3 C, 3 LW, 3 RW, 4 D and 1 Utility spot and 2 Goalie spots. Then there is a remaining 4 Bench spots which can be used however you see fitfor positions. There is a roster of 20 players.
He has set up his team with 18 Forwards and carrying only 2 Goalies, which has led him to only 53 starts. I have been carrying 17 Forwards and 3 Goalies, until Cam Ward became available so I dropped to 16 F and 4 Goalies. I have had 68 Goalies starts.
However it seems like I need to run a 2 goalie system as well and turn those guys into viable bench spots. As the pool scoring system is definatley skewed towards forwards. I have Loungo and Price - so wondering if i should trade one of those guys for a high scoring star and keep a tandam of Price and Ward or Loungo and Ward.
