Below you'll find some players we think could be of interest to you and your fantasy team. We'll suggest a few potential pickups for those of you in shallow leagues (40% or more owned in Yahoo! leagues), medium leagues (20%-40%) and deep leagues (< 20%). We'll also offer a few suggestions on players you might want to consider demoting, dropping or dealing for each type of league.
If you think I missed somebody... add it in the comments. The more the merrier.

SHALLOW LEAGUES (>40% owned)
Alexander Steen (45%) with 15+25=40
Last week I said to myself I really need a 60+ point winger who shoots a lot... until I realized I had one sitting on my bench in Steen. I've never been a big fan of his but I grabbed him on the wire a little while ago when I needed a spot start from a center but haven't used him since. He's quietly put up a heck of a streak with 29 points in his last 30 games (only five multi-pointers in there though).
Ray Whitney (41%) with 10+31=41
Whitney's old but that doesn't mean he can't help your fantasy team. He's on pace for a tidy 59 points and if you take out his slow start (five points in his 14 games) he's been playing at a 73 point pace. He also has 14 points in his last 15 games.

MEDIUM LEAGUES (20% to 40% owned)
Olli Jokinen (35%) with 10+25=35
Jokinen hasn't been terrible lately. Who knew? He has 23 points in his last 25 games and is back on pace for over 50 points after playing at only a 35 point pace up to the middle of December. He's shooting more like the Olli of old (3.2 shots / game over his 25 game hot streak) so maybe he'll actually be able to keep this up and help a few teams down the stretch. Worth a shot, I think.
Derick Brassard (27%) with 13+25=38
After his .81 ppg rookie season (in only 31 games) his 36 point, -17 season last year killed a few of my teams. All is forgiven has he's rebounded back nicely this year. He's turned it up a few notched lately... 12 points in his last 11 games. He's well on the way to a breakout season (on pace for 56 points) and looks to be getting better as the season goes on.
Andy McDonald (22%) with 8+11=19
I'd say worst case you'll get a 60 point winger if you grab McDonald off the wire with the upside of a point-a-game player like he was a few years ago. Not bad for a guy only owned in 22% of leagues. Of course the big risk with McDonald is injury but when you're picking him up off the scrap heap you've got nothing to lose.

Marc Savard (36%), Andrej Meszaros (34%), Alex Frolov (32%), Jamie Langenbrunner (30%), Kurtis Foster (22%) and Anton Stralman (20%).
DEEP LEAGUES (<20% owned)
Marc-Andre Bergeron (9%) with 0+2=2
My low waiver wire priority didn't allow me to grab MAB in any of my leagues which I'm disappointed by. This is a guy who scored 34 points in just 60 games last year and is now joining one of the strongest PP's in the league (where he does all of his damage). Be worried about that plus-minus (he had a -4 the other night) but there's lots to like here.
Jiri Hudler (6%) with 5+15=20
Things might change when Filppula returns but Hudler has been playing on the 2nd line with Pavel Datsyuk. He's winning over Mike Babcock (his PT is up around 16-18 minutes after being 10-12 earlier in the year) and he has 14 points in his last 19 games (which doesn't sound too great until you realize he had only six points in 30 games to start the year). He should definitely be owned in more than 6% of leagues.

THE <1% SPECIAL - somebody of value that's owned in just 1% or fewer of Yahoo leagues.
Travis Hamonic (0%) with 1+10=11
Cam suggested we pick up Hamonic in a deep keeper league we share a team in. It was a great idea as there wasn't anything for us to lose. We get a skilled young d-man who's getting tons of PT (regularly playing more than 20 minutes per game) who makes a decent keeper if we want to hang onto him. Things have worked out very well as Hamonic has exceeded our expectations so far with five points in his last 10 games... not too shabby at all.
