I was going to put this question off until after the season, but certain factors have brought it forth now. I am in a yahoo league where we keep 5 players at the end of the season (max 1 goalie). I in inherited this team from a guy who dropped out last year. He wa a Blackhawks fan, so his roster was full of them. My keepers from last year were Toews, Kane, Sharp and Kopitar. (We only have 4 keepers last year). I had first pick overall, and grabbed Fleury.
My roster at the moment is this:
C: Kopitar, Toews, Krejci, Oshie
LW: Sharp, Ennis, MacArthur (Also, Taylor Hall on IR)
RW: P Kane, Callahan, Eriksson
D: Enstrom, Erhoff, Letang
G: Price, Fleury, Roloson
As I was planning my keepers, I was down to Kopitar, Fleury, Toews, Kane and debating between Hall and Sharp. Hall is much younger and probably the wiser pick, but part of me was still considering Sharp as having the entire first power play line for Chicago has been great for me this season (I finished 1st over all). But with Sharp injured, and we're heading into the playoffs, I am thinking I may need to drop him if he doesn't get on the IR as of Sunday.
Right now I'm leaning towards grabbing E. Kane as he seems to be the best LW available (also had 4 games in the final week of playoffs, which could help.) Other LWs available are J. Jokinen, T. Ruutu, N. Kulemin or E. Cole.
Any advice. Would anyone hold onto Sharp in this situation?
