Saturday's Daily Dosage - Leighton, Ennis, Quick...

It took a while but the Flyers are right back to where they started

Brian Boucher gave up a few charmin-soft goals last night and was pulled after allowing three on 11 shots and he gave way to Michael Leighton who looked good stopping 20 of 21.  Laviolette wouldn't say after the game who would get the start in game #6 but I think it's Leighton's turn and despite only playing in two NHL games this year, he might be the safest option.

A pair of goals for Tyler Ennis last night including the OT winner... he had a very solid rookie season with 49 points this year and it doesn't get any closer to a breakout in our eyes.  He'll be one of the top picks in the 2011 Breakout Bible and I'm pretty confident in saying that I think he can add 15+ points to his total from this season.

Wow, Kings coach Terry Murray is drinking the Jonathan Quick kool-aid as he said that there's no way he's making a goaltending change and is sounding quite delusional about it (via LAKingsInsider)...

He has played good. In fact, in the first period, I thought they would not score a goal on him (in the game).

What the F?  So Quick was coming off giving up six goals in game #3 and in the first period of game #4 you're thinking that the shutout is just a formality???  The Sharks went on to score six goals on 27 shots in game #4 btw, not sure if Murray stuck around to see that happen.

Semi-finals day at the U-18s in Germany with two juicy match-ups as Russia-Sweden meet in one semi (currently 1-1 in the 3rd but I can't locate a stream of it) and Canada takes on the US in the other (check it out on TSN @12:30 ET).

Marc-Andre Gragnani with a PPG last night and he's been seeing a lot of ice-time in these playoffs and with 1+4=5 (three PPPs) he leads the Sabres in playoff scoring... definitely someone to keep in mind for next season.

Been pumping James van Riemsdyk's tires a lot in these playoffs and have to mention him again after a goal on eight shots last night.  His 21:36 of ice-time last night was second amongst Flyers forwards (behind only Giroux) and he now leads the league in shots with 28 so far in the playoffs.

Ville Leino is having a hard time re-discovering the magic that he had in last year's playoffs as he only has one goal so far through five games.  But recall that he only played in one game in last year's 1st round as he was typically a healthy scratch before heating up in the 2nd round... this is only helpful if the Flyers are alive after the 1st round this year.

Saku Koivu continued his run last night with 2A and now has an eight game streak going with 2+8=10.

We have a Jason Blake sighting!?!... he's still kicking around, playing in Anaheim apparently and he potted two goals last night.

Cody Franson with an assist last night and he has 4A through the first five games of the series.  I think there's a lot of upside with this guy but his opportunities are kinda limited as Weber & Suter really hog a lot of ice-time.

Vigneault is also going back with Roberto Luongo for game #6 after pulling him in each of the last two... I can't say if that's the smart move but it's the move he has to make.

Reports say that the Islanders will in fact toll Evgeni Nabokov's contract and he'll be NYI property for next season.  Seeing as this could have been resolved by him showing up for a few weeks and playing out the season with the Islanders this year, I can't imagine he's interested in playing for them next year so I'd expect them to trade him sometime before next season starts.  Let's see where he lands before we get too excited about this.

This Bobby Ryan goal last night was so sick, one of the most skilled goals I've seen in a while...
