Wednesday's Daily Dosage - Fisher, Hiller, Dubnyk...
Alright, lots of games last night and I don't think I was fully ready for the break to end, so help a brother out and let everyone know what I missed in the comments
Mike Fisher with the game-tying & game-winning goals last night in a furious 3rd period comeback by the Predators and he has a nice run going with 7+7=14 over his last 11 games.
Jonas Hiller remained on fire as he allowed just one goal on 26 shots and has kept it to two or less in each of his last 10 games... unreal. He is 7-1-1, 1.40 & .948 over those 10 games but his overall numbers are pretty rank (2.77 & .908) so you might still be able to swipe him from some jabroni in your league.
Devan Dubnyk stopped 31 of 33 for the W over Colorado and is now 3-1-1, 1.99 & .933 over his last seven games. He has finished seven of the last eight for Edmonton.
Full disclosure here, two of John Tavares' four points last night came on ENGs but when you're hot, you're hot. In the 15 games since Dec 29th, he leads the league with 11+15=26, the next highest point total is 19 during that time period.
The Caps Mathieu Perreault had a hat-trick heading into the break and a week between games ain't going to cool him down as he scored again last night to give him 5+2=7 & plus-5 over his last five games.
I'm still not clear on why Kevin Poulin was called up and why they decided to start him last night (Al Montoya was scratched)... but genius move by the Isles as Poulin picked up the win (21/23) over Carolina.
The plus/minus still sucks for Mark Streit (minus-20) but he's playing a lot better than earlier in the season (trust me, I know) with 1+8=9 & five PPPs over his last 10 games.
Jiri Hudler with the GWG in the 3rd on a nice setup from Valtteri Filppula... Hudler now has 4+2=6 over his last seven games. He seems to be finding the range again after being in a funk for a year & a half or so.
Big night for Mikhail Grabovski with 2+1=3 & seven shots. This followed up his 4-point night heading into the AS Break. Actually, he's been pretty good for a while with 10+9=19 over his last 15 games.
Jake Gardiner played a season high 26:56 last night and with an assist he now has 1+4=5 over his last five games.
Andrew Cogliano had a hat-trick on six shots last night... you know what they say about blue moons.
She ain't pretty... Marc-Andre Fleury gave up four goals but extended his win streak to eight games. He is sporting a no-very-streakish 2.28 gaa & .916 sv% during the run.
Your notable healthy scratches last night were Luke Adam, Marc-Andre Gragnani & Marek Zidlicky. Zids ain't happy about it and could be moving on soon, which would be good news for him as he's dying on the vine in Minny right now.

Can’t forget Niemi. He bookended the Asg with shutouts and plays the most games of any goalie during the fantasy playoffs(12 in 3 weeks) plus he almost never sits!

Thonrton had 2+1=3 and tied a season high with 5 shots.
Full disclosure on Cogliano’s natural hat trick…all 3 of the goals were pretty bad.

Cory Schneider
Schneider stopped 37 of 39 shots agains Van-city’s nemesis, the Chicago Blackhawks to get the OT win. Not bad for a backup huh?
four in a row for him… but it’s taken him a month to make four starts.

Fleury
Not a pretty save%, but this is a clear case of the #s not giving an accurate picture. He was outstanding. Repeatedly hung out to dry on odd man rushes and even on multiple 2-0’s, he came up large time after time and gave his mates a chance to win.
He was the #1 star of the game, and deservedly so.

but...
Grabovski should have been the #2 star (over Malkin), but at least they got the Top 3 right.

yes, caught a bit of the game and the announcers were certainly going on about how great Fleury was… but I just care about the numbers.

he has a chance to play as high as 2C while Crosby and Staal are on the shelf.
not saying he will, but there is a short window of opportunity for him.
hopefully, he makes the most of it.

Moulson and P.A.P
both with 1g & 1a last night. Oh, and Heatly with 2+1 on my bench and has been at least luke warm recently. And speaking of stats left on my bench Pavelec with the 1GA SO win but nobody in their right mind would’ve started him a) on the road and 2) against Philly. Right?

I’m with you, left Schneider & Pavelec on my bench last night in one league.

ouch, I couldn’t leave Schneider especially at home, too few opportunities, but I should have sat Harding
I saw very little of the game
how can anyone watch the Wild
went away at one point, feeling very good about a 4-1 lead
came back 10 minutes later to a 4-4 tie
I need an explanation.

I would have started him but didn’t expect him to and didn’t check LWL yesterday to find out he was.
