Streit or Goligoski?

Do you guys think it is worth picking up Streit for Goligoski? Isles been on a little run recently, and Streit is more offensive i think, both get lots of PP time though, but Streit is one of the most offensive defensemen in the NHL and deff on the isles lol,

what are your thoughts?

Streit -has 5 goals 31 points and 19 off PP with 94 shots

Goligoski- 7 goals 22 points 9 on PP 85 shots

Streit has almost triple PK time.

I’d take Goligoski.
Both made Cam’s Second Half Stars list, but Streit has been fading for several years whereas Goose’s trajectory is still up.

I’d go with Streit… I like Goligoski for a nice 2nd half but I think Streit is the safer bet.

as much as I am inclined to believe neither will be significantly different down the stretch
I side with Jay because of the more offensively talented (though not as hard working) players that the Islanders have.
this really is a 50/50 proposition you could flip a coin (like I did) and likely get the same result

I’d take Streit, other than the plus/minus, he’s been pretty hot lately.

really close

Stats over the past month — both have been hot:

Mark Streit, NYI D
3 goals, 6 assists, 9 points, -3 rating, 6 PIMs, 22:53 ATOI, 32 SOGs, 4 PPPs

Alex Goligoski, Dal D
2 goals, 9 assists, 11 points, 0 rating, 6 PIMs, 23:11 ATOI, 28 SOGs, 4 PPPs.

On my most recent player rankings, I have Streit at #16 and Goligoski at #21.
Goligoski is absolutely on fire right now though, so that apparently skewed my thinking.

Wow, hadn’t realized The Gos has been that good lately.
