I was just offered the following...
Viktor Stalberg and Kevin Bieksa for Henrik Zetterberg. We play categories (wins count in each) G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SOG, BLK.
I'm pretty far out of any place that matters. Way out side of the playoff hunt and I'm five spots out of staying in the league. Next year I'll be relegated one tier below the champions league I'm in now.
Thoughts on this trade? The guy who's offering it is closer to the relegation bubble. I think he's 2 spots out.

I think Zets will be big down the stretch. Trading him is a good idea in your situation but I would hope for more than Stalberg and Bieksa.
I’d say pass.

I’m not really sold on Stalberg so I’d pass on this deal.

Keep Zetterberg. Players like him (75-90 pts) are hard to find.
I like Bieksa, he is a roto monster but he has been unpredictable, mostly due to injury, during the last few years and I believe Stalberg is currently playing above his head. In my book, he is a 30-40 pts who does not contribute that much in other peripherical stats.
Finally, if you do a 2 for 1, you will probably drop a player. Who is this player ? Sometimes, to include the dropped player in the deal helps to see it from another angle.
Just got two more offers...
Landeskog, Anisimov and Boychuk for Oshie and Zetterberg. or Versteeg and Williams for Oshie and Zetterberg.
Wasn’t looking to get rid of Oshie and I don’t think I like either package enough. Thoughts?

I don’t like either of these deal either.
You’re selling low on Zets. Think of him as an 80 point guy and Oshie as a 60-70 point guy. Would you make these deals?
No way.

agree with Jay, you’d be giving up on Zetterberg too easily if you accept any of these deals.

The latest offer is...
Hossa and S. Kostitsyn for Zetterberg… I’m thinking of taking that. I also have a buyer lined up for Hossa if I want. I’d be getting Stewart from STL and maybe Hagelin or Ruutu…so basically the trade would be Zetterberg and Setoguchi for Stewart, SKostitsyn and Hagelin/Ruutu
Thoughts on that?

Still don’t really like it. Getting Hossa would make giving up Zetterberg a little easier but then flipping him for some lesser-likes in Stewart & Hagelin doesn’t really excite me.
Let’s talk about the elephant in th room… why are you determined to sell Zetterberg at a low point?

I needed to make a change for there to be any chance to stay in the league. I made the deal for Hossa but not the one sending Hossa. Then I made a trade to shore up my D. The two guys I’m playing this week and next are hurting with injuries so there’s a very slight chance I could win big both games and stay.

Other league, offered Perron for Backes, which she accepted but she wants to do a d-man swap as well. I only really like White on her d team, she wants Pietrangelo for him.
So Backes/White for Perron/Pietrangelo. Do I pull the trigger or try to just do Perron for Backes straight up?

Yeah, I like the F swap but the D swap doesn’t look good. Is there another dman that you can include instead of Pietrangelo?

I don’t like it at all, Cam is correct the D-man swap is bad for you.
White numbers in decline
Pietrangelo on the rise.
I also like Perron better than Backes in any offensive cat.
Other than PIM, Hits, & BLK
if you haven’t noticed Backes isn’t really fighting much, the bulk of his PIM have come in only 2 games
He will still give you more but I have never been one to trade for PIM
Hits is not listed as a cat here and that is his greatest contribution
If there is an upgrade because of physical play I am not sure it offsets the possible offensive difference.
