Monday's Daily Dosage - MacDonald, Perron, Kunitz...
Joey MacDonald stopped 26 of 29 to pick up his third straight win. He has yet to allow more than three goals in any of his five outings this year but with Howard on the mend, I wouldn't be getting too high on Joey's value.
David Perron now has goals in four straight games (6+1=7) after converting on the PP last night. Great to see as he seems to be re-joining the trajectory that he was on before getting hurt last year... lots of upside with this kid.
25 save shutout for Jaroslav Halak last night and despite Brian Elliott having three wins last week, it'll be hard to keep Halak from the net as he now has shutouts in five of this last ten games... unreal.
No offence but is Chris Kunitz not the luckiest guy you know???... he played 3rd wheel on a line with Getzlaf & Perry and then was brought to Pittsburgh to play with Crosby but since he's out he gets stuck playing with Malkin. 2+5=7 combined in two weekend games for the fortunate one.
Ho-hum night for Corey Perry with a hat-trick, plus-2, four PIMs & 11 shots. The PIMs & shots are going to be nice this year but he is still on pace for just 64 points as he hasn't been able to string together more than a three-game point streak since November.
Merry Christmas to Lubomir Visnovsky owners (at least it feels that way) as he had an assist, plus-2 & 17 PIMs last night.
2+1=3 last night for Alex Pietrangelo as he was in on each of the Blues three goals and now has 5+13=18 over his last 17 games.
Three points for Henrik Zetterberg last night and it might actually be happening, where he is playing like we all expected him to this year with 2+6=8 over his last five games.
Steve Downie is on a sub-40 point pace but with two goals last night he now has 4+5=9 over his last 11 games.
Dio mentioned that Brayden Schenn's ice-time was up and the kid is starting to flash his potential with 6+1=7, plus-4 & 13 PIMs over his last nine games.
An assist in nearly 26 minutes of ice-time for James Wisniewski, so he has 1+2=3 & plus-2 in his first two games back from injury. Pray that someone dumped him on your waiver wire cause he can help you.
Up from the AHL: Zack Kassian, Colby Robak, Paul Byron, Jerome Samson & Eric Wellwood.
Down to the AHL: Luke Adam, TJ Brennan & Drayson Bowman. Adam needs something to change the vibe as he hasn't registered a point in his last 20 games.

I got lucky with Wisniewski…picked him up a week before he came back and stashed him on my IR. He’s a lot better than Salo, Faulk, and Kaberle who were some of the guys I was using recently as my 5th d-man.

Wis
He is sitting on mine as we speak. Think it’s worth grabbing him for boyle, wideman, or streit? If I didn’t have to have joey mac right now since howard is out I’d snag him in a heartbeat….thoughts?

not for those guys. they are all Top 15 type players. Wis is in that ballpark, but those 3 are searingly hot over the past couple/few weeks whereas Wis has had ONE good game. and he’s still on the Blue Jackets.
