Elliott for Marleau??
I was proposed a trade to receive Brian Elliott for Patrick Marleau. I'm in a rotisserie league and I'm in definite need for goalie wins, but I wasn't sure I wanted to part ways with Marleau.
My roster:
P. Elias
A. Henrique
P. Sharp
D. Heatly
M. Ryder
T. Selanne
M. Bergeron
I. White
K. Quincey
D. Phaneuf
P. Marleau
H. Sedin
D. Clarkson
A. Burrows
M. Read
M. Green (IR)
Goalies:
J. Hiller
M. Brodeur
N. Backstrom

I wouldn’t do it, don’t think Elliott is the answer for your wins problem. If you really want to trade Marleau for a goalie then I’d aim higher.

No way
With less than 30 games to play, I can see a split that would look like 65% 35% in favor of Halak. So, this would mean 10 to 12 games for Elliott. If he wins, lets say, 75 % of the games he plays, that would translate into 7 to 9 wins.
I am pretty sure you can land a goalie that will give you more win than this for Marleau. I don’t know how close is the race in your league but I doubt 7-9 wins over the next 30 games would be sufficient. Therefore, I would seek for other options.
Agree w/ Cam and the Sandman.
65/35 might even be generous. Elliott has started 4 of the last 13 for StL — 30%.
And winning 75% of his starts is definitely generous.
STL has 26 games remaining.
x 30% = 7.8.
round up to 8 starts.
multiply by .750 winning% = 6 Wins. (at most)
More likely, you are looking at 5 Wins.

Elliott is a great goalie but he doesn’t play enough.
I’ll echo the above and say pass.
