Pavel Datsyuk Trade Need Help!
In a situation here and need some help. Should I send Matt Duchene and Tomas Fleischmann for Pavel Datsyuk? I'm in first place and looking to get ready for the playoffs. I'm aware that Datsyuk is supposed to be out for two weeks because of a minor knee ailment. Do I still do the trade and add Datsyuk for these two so I have him for the start of the playoffs? First year owner here in need of some advice. Thanks!

I would probably say yes but it depends on what you replace Flash with. Do you really need him?

I don’t think I’d do it, it’s close though…. Even if Pavel does come back in two weeks, Detroit may be so far ahead they may rest a lot of the big guns, Pavel being one, especially with a bad wheel. I can’t blame you for wanting to do it though. Maybe shop Duch-Fleisch around, see if you can get someone off a team making the playoff push…? Good luck w the move if you do it though

I would probably do it but as CM&N said above, I’d probably shop it around to see if you can get something better before pulling the trigger. If Datsyuk ends up being out three weeks then this may start to eat into the playoffs.

I would do it. Flash (not to mention the rest of that line) has really been exposed to be what he really is…and that’s a 50-60 point scorer. Duchene hasn’t showed me a damn thing this year. This is worth the risk in my opinion.
