Lobbying Yahoo
I don't know how many people on here play on yahoo but I was thinking they seriously need to create a DTD slot for leagues. That way we won't have to sit around carrying people like Mike Green because Washington feels like they don't need the extra spot.
The IR in the NHL is terrible and following that system for fantasy breaks shallow leagues. If you carried Mike Green you'll understand.

I think the simplest thing would me if your play has missed three straight games or something he’s placed on the “fantasy IR” until he returns.
Yahoo doesn’t do simple very well so don’t hold your breath.

what about playing in a league that doesnt let you put them on IR. If you wanna keep then on your team it will cost you. Thats Real Man shit

I like it.
You wanna draft a few injury prone guys… you better man up.
I’m in one league with no IR slots but it has a big bench. Works well.

I agree… just have a bigger bench, that way you avoid relying on your provider or NHL teams to do the right thing and put a guy on IR when he`s hurt.

I like a big roster + full lineups.
But…I don’t like leagues w/ zero IR spots.
Two spots are usually fine.
It forces some hard decisions from time-to-time, but not too often, and that’s where you want to be.

I'm trying to convince my league(1st season ever for me) to get rid of bench, max out all the positions.
so we have to go deep, get rid of IR so it costs you to keep him. This way 2 ok players would be worth 1 good player because those ok players might win it for you
