Fantasy Hockey Injury News for Sunday

Scott Rovak-USA TODAY Sports

A fantasized look at the NHL injury news on Sunday morning

Weird one here as Chris Stewart took a tumble into the boards and seemed to mess up his back.  He returned for a few shifts but then called it a game.  Afterwards the Blues described it as a "big" injury. Hopefully we'll get further clarification today.

Also with the Blues, Magnus Paajarvi left the game with a UBI and didn't return.  His injury was described with the adjective "significant".

You could call this significant... Jakob Silfverberg is out for 4-6 weeks after a slash from Jared Cowen busted his hand.

Tyler Bozak is expected to be out for at least a week, maybe more due to a LBI that he picked up on Friday night.  Nazem Kadri looked pretty good in his spot on L1 with a goal, four shots & four hits last night.

Brendan Gallagher gave us a little scare as he went hard into the boards last night and went off hurting.  But he's a tough little nut and was able to continue.  We'll see if this has any adverse impact.

Dan Boyle (concussion) could be back in the lineup today in Ottawa.  That's pretty encouraging less than two weeks after being knocked out cold.

Returning to action from the injured list yesterday:  Scott Hartnell, Ville Leino, James Reimer & Tommy Wingels.
