A fantasized look at Thursday night's NHL action

A goal on three shots for Ryan Johansen last night and he's on a seven game point scoring streak. To go back a bit further, he's a ridiculous 5+7=12, 12 hits, 5 PPP, and plus-4 over his last nine games. As you've likely been reminded a hundred times, he's only 21 and it's safe to say he's a serious post-hype sleeper.

A couple of assists for the disappointing Jakub Voracek and he's on a modest three game point scoring streak with 2+2=4 and 10 shots. I had a feeling he wasn't quite a point per game player but he's not as bad as the 12 points in 29 games he put up to start the season. If he gets on the scoresheet again in the Flyers next game, I'd grab him, as he's likely meandering on your free agent list.

A 40 save win for Craig Anderson as the Sabres peppered him and don't look now but he's 3-0-1 and his last four starts. His peripherals are still awful but he's likely gaining confidence.

A powerplay goal for Tyler Ennis last night and he's on a little bit of a hot streak with 3+1=4, 7 hits, and 14 shots over his last four games. Hey, someone has gotta score goals for Buffalo. Give him a look.

I'm starting to wonder if Matt Moulson is dropable in medium sized leagues. He's playing a ton of minutes but making it to the scoresheet very often. He's got just 2 goals in his last 18 and 2 points in his last 10. The trade is starting to look like worst case scenario for the poor guy.

Nikita Kucherov had the lone goal for the Lightning through regulation and overtime. He's scored in two straight and has three goals and 22 shots since his call up 8 games ago. All they need to do is call up his buddy Vladislav Namestnikov and he'll be set.

Jaden Schwartz with the fantasy line of the night as he ripped off 1+2=3, 4 shots, 1 hit, and plus-2. You probably missed the boat on him in a lot of leagues as he's been hot and now has 12 points over his last 11 games.

Carter Hutton seems to be the flavor of the week again as he got his second consecutive start and rewarded the Predators with another win, stopping 33 of 34 shots. He'll likely get the next start so roll with him if you've got him and stream him if you can.

It was the second straight two point game for David Legwand after five games with no points. His points usually come in flurries so give him an add and ride him until he's useless again.

That's more like it for Ryan O'Reilly who had a goal and an assist last night. He'd gone 8 games with just one assist prior to that so nice job getting the monkey off his back. Let's see if he can start a little run here, though.

Blake Wheeler scored twice and fired 6 pucks on net last night. He's got 4+2=6, 22 shots, and 9 hits over his last five games. Keep rolling, Wheeler.

Karri Ramo won for the 3rd time over his last 4 starts. He's given up just six goals over those four starts and he's starting to look like the breakout goaltender that many predicted he would be this season.

Another goal for Jeff Skinner and he has 7+2=9 and an unreal 30 shots over his last six games. He still hasn't blocked a shot this season which I find fascinating. Not even by accident, Jeff?

This is starting to look like the season that many hoped Kyle Okposo would have for the last five years. He had a goal, 5 shots, and 10 PIM for a very useful night. He's at 29 points through 33 games and has 7 points in his last 7 games. All he needed was an extended shot on the wing of John Tavares.

Mike Ribeiro stayed toasty as he had a three point night to the tune of 1+2=3, 3 shots, plus-3. He has 9 points over his last 6 games.

Two goals for Mikkel Boedker last night and he has five of those (and two assists) over his last 8 games. He's playing almost 17 minutes a night and owned in just 15% of Yahoo! leagues. I'd imagine that number will start trending up.

Two more goals for David Perron and he has 5 of those on 20 shots over his last 5 games. He's even mixed in 10 PIM and two assists over that span for good measure.

David Krejci seems like he's rounding into playoff form as he had two assists last night. Over his four game point scoring streak he has 2+4=6, 11 shots, 9 hits, 3 blocks, 2 PPP and plus-5.

Joe Pavelski scored two powerplay goals last night to hit the 30 point mark in just 32 games. Let's hope he doesn't pull a disappearing act down the stretch.

Chad Johnson made 39 saves on 41 shots for the win last night. He's 6-1-0 on the season and has allowed two or fewer goals in all but one of his starts. His peripherals are sparkling with a .928 sv% and 1.98 gaa. Man, if Tuukka Rask ever got...never mind.
