Fantasy Hockey News for Monday

Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Spor

A fantasized look at Sunday night's NHL action

Not much action on the sked last night with only 2 games but let's lace em up and get our legs moving.

No forwards with any noticeable stat lines in the Wild-Rangers tilt but here are your notables: Jason Pominville with 1G, +1, 2SOG, Derick Brassard with 2A, 2 Hits, and Chris Kreider with 1G, 2SOG.

Cam Talbot did stop 24 shots for the win but, despite his success, he's never going to dethrone the King.

I'm going to highlight a few guys that have really been dropping the ball for their owners lately:

Arguably the Wild's best player, Dany Heat-just kidding- Zach Parise, has 1G and is -6 over his last 6. Look for him to go on a hot streak soon.

Mikko Koivu is not faring much better with 0G, 3A -5 over his last 6 games. He's a good player individually but if Parise gets going, expect Koivu to start raking in the apples as he feeds his sniping winger.

Rick Nash really has not been anything prolific in the Big Apple this year chipping in a modest 0G, 3A, -1 in his last 5. It's tough to make any recommendations here. He's not surrounded with a lot of offensive skill in New York but he was able to make a name for himself in Columbus where the same problem existed so at least that's something.

How about Brad Richards with 0G, 3A, -5 in his last 7? I think owners were expecting a bit more from the forward who was nearly bought out after being relegated to fourth line duties under John Torterella.

Roberto Luongo got the start but only made 6 saves before having to leave the game. Eddie Lack came in relief and turned away the remaining 15/16 shots for the win

Evander Kane notched the Jets only goal and contributed a final stat line of 1G, 2PIM, 3 Hits and 3SOGs. I think we have our Fantasy Line of the Night (not like there was much competition).
