A fantasized look at the injury news on a Friday morning
Big news here as Ryan Kesler is expected to return to the Canucks lineup tonight following around eight months of rehab on his surgically repaired shoulder & wrist.
Zach Bogosian (wrist) is also a possibility to make his season debut tonight.
Quote of the year candidate here from the Red Wings Mike Babcock when discussing Johan Franzen's hip flexor, "day-to-day is usually 10 (days)". Not sure if he was specifically talking about Franzen or all players with that beauty.
Tim Gleason missed last night's game but is just day-to-day with a LBI.
Al Montoya is week-to-week due to the LBI he picked up the other day.
The Canucks have shut Manny Malhotra down for the season as he is having issues with his vision.
The official timeline after Dainius Zubrus' wrist surgery has him out 4-6 weeks.
Cal Clutterbuck attempted to complete last night's game after taking a high stick but had to pack it in early... not sure how serious it is.
Derek Morris couldn't finish last night's game due to a UBI.
Anders Lindback missed last night's game due to an illness.
Just a little scare here (we think) as Justin Schultz left practice yesterday with a sore back but he is expected to be ok to play on Saturday.
James Wisniewski is expecting a mini-Wiz any moment now and so he's left the team and may miss the the next two games.
Returning from the injured list last night: John Mitchell.
