A fantasized look at some injury news from the NHL on a Sunday morning
Brandon Dubinsky left last night's game after hurting his knee. No word on the severity.
This one sounds just horrific: as per Rotoworld, Max Pacioretty left last night's game after sustaining a "deep cut (caused by a skate) in the rib area". Yeesh.
Fellow Canadien Brendan Gallagher also left the game early with a shoulder issue and is listed as day-to-day.
Mike Green will not play today and hasn't been able to finish ether of his last two games. LBI is what they're saying, and hopefully this isn't the same ankle/foot thing that has hampered him before.
It sounds like Jonas Hiller could be available some time this week, but don't expect the Ducks to rush him back with Viktor Fasth playing so well.
Shoulder injury for Teemu Hartikainen as he left the game after 8:33 TOI.
Artem Anisimov has a bruised foot, but it doesn't sound like a long-term thing. Unless you're in a really deep league, he's not of much use to you anyway.
Tough to see so many injury issues this early in Sven Baertschi's career. He is skating on his own now but will still miss some more time.
Back from IR or otherwise: Mikael Samuelsson, John Moore, Kimmo Timonen
