A fantasized look at some NHL injury news on a Tuesday morning
Tobias Enstrom (shoulder) is now considered week to week and that's never a good thing. I'd say we won't see him for at least three weeks.
Milan Michalek (knee) missed yesterday's game and is expected to miss tonight's as well. He's still just considered day to day, however.
Radim Vrbata (LBI) tried to practice yesterday but that only lasted a few minutes but that didn't work out well so he missed last night's game. Still no word on a timetable.
Jaroslav Halak (groin) is back at 100% and is slated to start either tonight or tomorrow night.
Paul Gaustad likely won't play tonight due to a UBI. He left yesterday's game in the first period and never returned.
Ryan Carter suffered a head injury during yesterday's game and had to leave the game. No word on whether it's a concussion yet.
Brian Strait broke his ankle during yesterday's game and he'll be out 6-8 weeks.
Cam Atkinson participated in the morning skate yesterday and was going to be a game time decision but ultimately, he did not play. It shouldn't be much longer now, though.
Returning from the injured: James Wisniewski, Patric Hornqvist, Jonas Hiller
