Is it worth trading Kessel + (G) Smith for Schneider + Pat Kane?

I'm struggling after 2 weeks and need something to happen. It seems like an a fairly equal gamble to me. Kessel's not producing as he should and there's some questions of what is going to happen in Van. I have the depth in goalie to absorb loosing Smith with the gamble on Schneider and he has the depth to gamble that Kessel will figure things out and light it up.

Thoughts?
