Monday's Injury Updates - Halak, Roy, Kesler, Lecavalier...

Stay connected for news and updates

Halak will be on the shelf for at least a week. Elliott owners rejoice! - Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

A fantasized look at some NHL injury news on a Monday morning.

The timeshare in St. Louis just tipped heavily in Brian Elliott's favor as Jaroslav Halak has been placed on injured reserve with a groin. The Blues believe he'll be ready to go by the coming weekend but groin injuries for goalies are a bit tricky so keep close tabs on this one. It may be a bit longer than just a week.

Words is that Derek Roy (groin) is good to go and will play tonight so that's good news.

Vincent Lecavalier has a bone bruise after taking a shot from his teammate, Sami Salo at the end of Saturday night's game. He stated that he won't be missing any games. Dude is a gamer.

Encouraging news here as Ryan Kesler was seen skating during practice.

Ryan Wilson is "out indefinitely" with a leg injury he suffered on Saturday night.

The diagnosis on Brendan Smith's shoulder injury is 10-14 days according to reports.

Still can't find a damn thing on the Dustin Byfuglien mystery injury. Very annoying.

Returning from the injured list: Max Pacioretty
