A fantasized look at the injury news on a Tuesday morning
Shawn Horcoff returned last night after missing a couple of games with a sore neck but then cracked a knuckle and is out indefinitely. I might feel bad for this guy, as he has some rotten luck, if it wasn't for the fact that he makes around a billion dollars a season.
Brad Marchand missed practice yesterday after going heavily into the boards on Saturday night. It sounds like he will probably be able to play through it.
Christian Ehrhoff is questionable for tonight's game due to an undisclosed injury. Pominville, Hodgson & Ott all skipped practice yesterday as well for the Sabres but we don't have much information on them either.
Sounds like Vincent Lecavalier is good to go tonight, he'll play with that bruised foot that he suffered on Saturday.
David Schlemko left last night's game early due to a back injury.
Official word on Wings dman Brendan Smith is that he'll be out for 3-4 weeks with a sprained shoulder.
The Stars activated Cristopher Nilstorp off the IR and sent him to the AHL. Not sure if the plan is to send him down for conditioning purposes so we'll see if he comes back up after a couple of starts.
Returning to action from the injured list last night: Derek Roy, Clarke MacArthur & Steve Sullivan.
