Fantasy Hockey Injury News for Tuesday

USA TODAY Sports

A fantasized look at the injury news on a Tuesday morning

Good news on Jamie Benn, his suspected concussion is actually just a wrist injury and it's not broken or anything. It may keep him out of tonight's game but he should be back shortly.

Tyler Ennis doesn't have a concussion either, just some stitches in his head, so the Sabres are just listing him as day-to-day.

Ok, enough of the good news, this is the injury update where we are supposed to bring you the bad news, like this... Milan Michalek recently missed 10 games due to a knee injury, then returned for two games and now the knee is bothering him again and so he sat out last night's game. The team is saying it's just a day-to-day issue but this is not encouraging.

Chris Kelly looked to have messed up his knee last night and had to leave the game, he'll be re-evaluated today.

Is anything in Phoenix going right these days?... Doctors originally thought Radim Vrbata's foot was just bruised but it's actually broken so that's why it's been difficult for him to return to the lineup after being out for nearly a month.

Nashville have IR'd both Colin Wilson & Patric Hornqvist due to UBIs.

Ray Whitney (foot) practiced with the team yesterday and is getting close to returning from a broken foot.

Returning to action from the injured list last night: Guillaume Latendresse & Mike Richards.
