A fantasized look at the injury news on Thursday morning

The recently resurgent Anders Lindback needed relief last night despite he providing the relief for a struggling Mathieu Garon. Lindback had to leave in the 3rd period due to a LBI (suspected groin injury).

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins couldn't play last night due to an illness. Likely march madness has infected him and he was struggling with his bracket. Seriously, Oregon? or OkSt?... how is a man to decide?

Rough night for Dallas as Stephane Robidas took a puck off the bean (it broke his helmet(!)) that turned into a goal for the Avs. After the game he declared himself OK. More concerning was that Ray Whitney left the game in the 2nd period with a UBI and didn't return.

The update from Carolina is that Justin Faulk has a sprained MCL and is out for 2-4 weeks.

Mike Green (groin) says he is ready but not sure if that means he will return tonight.

Martin Brodeur (back) is expected to get the start tonight, a full month after his last appearance

Returning to action from the injured list last night: Victor Hedman.
