Fantasy Hockey News for Tuesday

Debby Wong-USA TODAY Sports

A fantasized look at the NHL action from Monday night

Big slumpbusting effort from Ryan Callahan as he went for 1+3=4, SHG, plus-4, three shots & four hits last night. It had been looking like a down year points-wise for Cally but this certainly helps.

Pulling the trigger on two of Callahan's helpers was Derek Stepan. I'm loving his emergence this season as he now has 9+9=18 over his last 17 games.

Two days after his season debut where he had six hits, Mats Zuccarello followed it up with an assist & six PIMs in 17 minutes last night.

Goals in back-to-back games for Brandon Saad in 20:51 of ice-time last night. He has 4+12=16 in his last 15 games as he attempts to overtake the top three in rookie scoring.

Viktor Fasth with your shutout of the night as he was perfect on 26 Dallas shots. He now has three shutouts on the season and improved his record to 12-3-1 with 2.14 & .924 ratios.

Miikka Kiprusoff may be playing his way into a no-trade clause as he was pulled in the 1st period last night after giving up three goals on six shots. He's given up eight goals in his last three periods of action and had been shelled in six of his last 10 games... so you'd have to own some serious onions if you're a contender that trades for him right now.

The former Sharks goalie who would probably be the better bet looks like Evgeni Nabokov as he continued his run by stopping 24 of 25 last night in a win. He is 9-4-1, 2.32 & .914 over his last 14 games.

Taylor Hall continued the insanity with another two points last night to give him 8+9=17 in his last 11 games.

The trades are starting to flow like crude through Arkansas neighbourhoods... Jay Bouwmeester, Michal Handzus, Robyn Regehr, Marc-Andre Bergeron, Jaromir Jagr & Derek Roy are the notable names that have been moved in the past 24 hours. I really don't see a lot of change in value amongst those guys, as most are going to a better team and will likely play a lesser role. Jagr's been playing with Benn and Roy with Eriksson & Whitney so it's not like they haven't been working with talent this year, so I'm not expecting a huge explosion. Bergeron is one guy that I'm a fan of and he could be good for the short-term but dude is often hurt or scratched, so beware of that.

Promoted: Brian Elliott, Carlo Colaiacovo, Thomas Greiss, Luke Adam & Jake Allen.

Demoted: Alex Stalock, John Muse, Jimmy Hayes, Jeremy Morin & Jordan Schroeder.
