I'm in a keeper league that has the following categories for skaters: G, A, P, +/-, PIM, GWG, PPG, PPA, SHP, HIT, BLK, FOW, TK/GV ratio. My team is one of the best in the league. Lost in the final this year on tie-breakers (heartbreaking, I know). I was dominant in offense and the only categories that I didn't end up in the top 4 were SHP and TK/GV and they feel pretty random as it is.
I was offered Phil Kessel and Dustin Brown for my Patrick Kane and Cory Conacher. Would you go for it? If so, what's your reasoning? I'm thinking that Kessel and Kane will be close in numbers, although I like Kane more on a fan level. Conacher will not be close to Brown over the next two years in points and Brown is one of the best hit machines in fantasy hockey.
Logic tells me that I should take the deal. I would be capitalizing on Conacher's rookie year (I'm not sold on his future success in Ottawa, very crowded) and Brown's buy-low window since he didn't blow people away this year. Then again, Kane is obviously the best guy in the deal. What would you do and why?
